The Casio CZ-5000 is a "phase distorsion" digital synthesizer made in Japan in 1985. This is the most professionnal synthesizer in the CASIO CZ range. The Synthesis called phase distortion is particularly comfortable to create "pads" , to stack different tone, and to create strange electronic sounds.
Creating sounds with this type of synthesis is usually not easy, this is why casio represented the sound "routing"a bit like on an analog : oscillator then filter then amplificator. This greatly facilitates the work.
Controls and effects are also there: portamento, Glide, Ring Modulation, the oscillators are detunable ... The Casio CZ-5000 also features a practical sequencer, for on the fly saving or step by step recording.
