The Roland JV-1080 is a polyphonic synthesizer made in Japan in 1994. The sound is generated from both digital "oscillators" and samples. All sounds type are available: synthetic sounds, keyboards, guitars, violins (particularly realistic) ... The JV-1080 has several LFO, several filters, adjustable envelope ... Editing sounds is done with a main dial and different editable parameters that are readily accessible, the LCD screen is large and legible. The wide range of available sounds is the reason why the JV-1080 synthesizer is found in many professional sound studio, especially for Movie or Video Games soundtrack. The number of available sounds can be increased with four expansion slots or by inserting ROM cards(sold separately) on the synthesizer front.
