The Siel Orchestra (ARP Quartet) is a polyphonic analog synthesizer made in Italy in 1979. It offers 4 parts: A BRASS part with trombone and trumpet; A STRINGS part with cello and violin; A REED part with accordion and musette; A PIANO part with piano and honky tonk. All 4 parts can be played individually or 2 parts can be simultaneously played. When one or two parts are activated green LEDs light up above the controls which can influence the activated sounds part, with for example "Brass Attack" or "Brillance" for the BRASS; "Attack" and "Sustain" for STRINGS. As well as a "Vibrato", "Vibrato speed", "Mute.
The Siel Orchestra offers one "High" and one "Low" audio output, a "Sustain Footswitch" socket for a sustain pedal or a "Volume pedal" socket. The Siel Orchestra does not offer a wide variety of sounds and controls but it sounds very good, has a lot of charm and a certain sound identity. For the Massive Attack lovers you will take great pleasure in using the Siel Orchestra because its sounds, in particular the BRASS, are present on many Massive Attack tracks.
